It serves as a mini welcome center, gift shop, and event space, featuring “Made in Tennessee” products, local snacks, and a small caboose museum. The depot offers a variety of local goods such as jams, jellies, and candles, and includes a meeting room available for rent, making it a hub for both community and tourism. It has appeared only once in the iNext Revival episode iVolunteer Party, where Tina Steger, Missy Thompson, and the other lady volunteers held their appreciation dinner on September 20, 2025.
